As a large part of my overall eco art vision, I work as a visiting artist in schools and communities. I have different goals for each age group or community group I work with. For the youngest students I simply focus on observing and experiencing the value of the immediate landscape outside their windows, promoting a closer tie between the inside learning process and the outside experience of nature. For older students, I move them towards taking action, promoting the concept of stewardship.

I find that my students inspire my own artwork and vice-versa. The processes and concepts may be different, but the energy and creative spirit cross back and forth.
